This position offers a great opportunity for a motivated, detail-oriented, team-centric candidate to work on a diverse range of projects, from local agency to mega-projects around the world. The successful candidate is expected to play a major role in the technical delivery of projects, mentoring staff, and interfacing with clients and applying both technical expertise and business acumen. Preferably, the candidate will have demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas: geotechnical engineering, excavation support design, tunneling, or trenchless technologies. Responsibilities: Manage and lead teams for geotechnical projects. Manage and coordinate geotechnical exploration programs. Perform geotechnical engineering analyses and calculations for tunnels, shafts, foundations, retaining structures, landslide and slope stability, ground improvement, and seismic evaluations. Prepare technical reports and other documents. Development of construction drawings and specifications for underground infrastructure. Participate in business development activities, interviews, and presentations. Prepare technical reports and documents. Provide technical leadership to junior staff. Qualifications: BS in Civil Engineering with focus on Geotechnical Engineering, MS is preferred. Ability to manage a number of concurrent assignments and priorities and supervise junior staff. Good experience in numerical analysis and familiarity with geotechnical analysis software including, LS-DYNA, FLAC, UDEC and Rocscience suite, or similar programs; Strong communication (both oral and written), analytical and leadership skills Professional Engineering license in the State of California.
