People * Customers * Trust We are seeking resumes for an Engineer - Reliability (Mechanical) (1 Opening) in our Wallula, WA facility. Description of role: Provide support in pushing the reliability engineering programs towards best in class practices in Predictive and Preventive Maintenance technologies, optimize and monitor predictive maintenance routes to maintain effective condition health assessment reports to mill area teams, and champion and maintain safe work practices. Principle Accountabilities: Employ Reliability Centered Maintenance concepts to improve equipment reliability. Work as part of the reliability team focusing on optimizing the asset management strategies through incorporating reliability engineering best practices and improving predictive and preventive maintenance practices and procedures to improve overall machinery performance. Provide bearing fits and technical parameters for equipment repair. Make design improvements follow industry best practices and eliminate known or potential failures where possible. Provide engineering support to the machine shop and lubrication department as needed. Maintain program documents and best practices for storage tanks, process piping, and pressure vessels according to applicable codes and standards. Coordinate with area engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to complete inspections. Support area engineering and maintenance teams to implement any repairs or other follow-up work as required. Liaison with mill insurance company Report for weekend duty according to a periodic on-call schedule. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Mechanical Engineering is required. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred Qualifications: Predictive maintenance technologies including vibration analysis and lubrication or equivalent experience. Able to learn complex engineering systems and components and identify required maintenance scopes and frequencies. Experience in a paper production facility. Experience in maintenance and inspection of storage tanks and pressure vessels according to API and NBIC requirements. Be willing to spend half of allotted time in the plant looking at equipment and systems looking for improvements or problem identification. The successful candidate must possess the following Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills and the ability to work well with others in a team environment. An ambition to learn and succeed in an innovative paper product industry. Must have initiative, be a self-starter, and have the ability to work with minimum supervision. Must have knowledge and skills in use of computer systems with specific experience in MS-Outlook, MS-Excel, MS-Project, and MS-Word programs required.
