Aerotek Assembler in Wallingford, Connecticut

Description:

• Assemble and disassemble hardware as required. Remove and replace defective electrical and mechanical assemblies.

• De-solder and solder electrical components.

• Clean and reassemble hardware.

• Ability to read and understand process instructions and interpret drawing requirements.

• Document records, and other paperwork and/or forms required.

• Aid in problem solving and recommends solutions associated with processes, fixtures, and tools.

• Assist and cross train in other areas as needed.

Skills:

Assembly, Soldering, solder, Blueprint, Schematic

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, or technical certificate.

• High School diploma or equivalent.

• Ability to read and understand English work instructions and Drawings

• Ability to follow directions, verbal, and written communication skills.

• This position requires either a US Person or a non-US Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.

• Assembler experience in defense manufacturing or aerospace.

• Able to perform simple math (addition and subtraction, ex. look at dimension).

• Experience in using basic manufacturing equipment, tools, and gages such as: multimeters, torque and force gages, etc.

• Interpersonal skills with the ability to work well on a team as well as individually.

• High motivation and drive.

• Ability to work with small components, good dexterity, hand-eye coordination.
