Quail Run Retirement Community Cook in Walla Walla, Washington

Walla Walla area senior living facility seeks professional and experienced cook.  Must be skilled in the delivery of the highest quality services including, but not limited to:

 

·[      ]{times="" new="" roman""=""}Large quantity food preparation

·[      ]{times="" new="" roman""=""}Plate presentation

·[      ]{times="" new="" roman""=""}Timely & courteous service to residents

·[      ]{times="" new="" roman""=""}Supervision of kitchen shift personnel

·[      ]{times="" new="" roman""=""}Management of all kitchen safety requirements (food temp., safe storage, etc.)

 

Applicant must possess broad knowledge of and demonstrate proficiency in various types of food preparation techniques, serving methods, portion control standards, and nutritional standards.  Specifically related to the above, applicant must demonstrate the ability to solve kitchen- and cooking-related problems as they may arise.

 

Applicant must be able to write, read and communicate proficiently in English; multi-lingual applicants are encouraged.  The ability to read and follow recipes and directions is essential.

 

Applicant must present as clean and well groomed; must be able to meet the company's written grooming standards.  Applicant may have no visible tattoos or body modifications while on the job.

 

It is essential that the applicant is in generally good health and that he/she can present proof of good work attendance and punctuality. 

 

Applicant will be a team player who is committed to encouraging and participating in an efficient, pleasant and professional work environment.

 

Applicant will report directly to Kitchen Management under the overall supervision of company management.

 

Applicant will be a High School graduate or equivalent with a minimum of one year's cooking experience and three positive references.
