Job Description
The Production Quality Assurance Engineer is primarily responsible for the quality support functions to maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) and support manufacturing, including responsibility for the technical oversight and evaluation of products, parts, operational and quality processes to protect customers from non-quality.
The Production Quality Assurance Engineer works directly with production, engineering, and quality personnel to fully understand the product and process requirements and perform continuous improvement activities. Additional duties are:
• Support Production Lines, non-conformances - both disposition and problem solving activities.
• Performs shop floor audits to determine compliance with regulations and company procedures.
• Works with the quality control and production personnel to drive the continuous improvement activities.
• Direct contact with customers when on site
Complementary Description
• This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
• This position will require you to walk around the facility & work at your desk.
• The work environment is a balance between working in a manufacturing environment with moderate noise and working at a desk/cubicle with moderate office noise.
Job Requirements
• 4 Year Engineering Degree is required.
• Ability to work with specific computer software including Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel.
• Proficient with understanding, creating and reporting FAI, SPC, Control Plans, 8D Problem Solving.
Familiar with APQP, QRQC and AS9100 methods and requirements a plus.
