At our Fortune 1000 diversified energy company, you’ll find a friendly, community-minded environment, with flexible work schedules, opportunities for growth and development, and competitive pay and benefits.New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG), a subsidiary of New Jersey Resources is seeking an Energy Analyst II to ensure all NJNG natural gas purchase and sale nominations are completed on pipelines, storages, and with counterparties on a timely basis. Accurately track all nominations and natural gas flows in the gas management system. Assist with month end close. Assist with annual regulatory filings. Comply with all regulations and internal policies.Major Responsibilities:Complete gas scheduling activities on various NJNG pipelines; record and document all relevant information passed to counterparties.Complete all nominations in the various pipeline electronic bulletin boards before the pipeline deadlines and the gas management system by 3pm.Manage supply at each city gate meter daily and provide options to increase/decrease supply at each gate.Maintain Storage (injection/withdrawal) and Power Plant burn activity spreadsheets.Ensure the most cost effective and reliable path is used for nominations.Work with Gas Control to make sure they are aware of any pertinent issues. Assist them in any way needed - for example: volumes, confirmations, marketer deliveries and pipeline electronic bulletin board issues.Alternate weekly duty of on-call person. On-duty responsibilities include monitoring nominations over the weekend and after hours. When not on call, be able to answer questions as needed.Ensure the month end close for NJNG is completed in a timely and accurate manner.Independent approach to enhance skills and knowledge to improve process and performance.Assist in preparation of annual Basic Gas Supply Service rate filing as necessary.Assist accounting with researching and supporting any billing discrepancies.Maintain effective internal and external contacts.
