Job Summary:

Join West's Supply Chain Team as an Intern! Dive into a dynamic and fast-paced work environment where your contributions truly matter. As a West Supply Chain Intern, you'll be part of exciting projects that propel our business forward. This internship offers an opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, understand how they work together to optimize operations, and meet customer needs.

Gain hands-on experience across the supply chain spectrum, including purchasing, inventory management, production planning, and supplier relations. You'll work on meaningful projects aimed at enhancing supply chain efficiency, analyzing strategies, and identifying continuous improvement opportunities in existing processes. This internship offers broad exposure to various supply chain functions, ensuring you walk away with a well-rounded, impactful experience.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Progress toward a Bachelor's degree in (list preferred majors)

  • Supply Chain Management

  • Engineering

  • Business

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Ability to leverage Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for efficient data management, analysis, and presentation.

  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to analyze complex data, identify issues, and develop effective solutions.

  • Customer Focus: Committed to meeting the expectations and needs of internal and external customers.

  • Team Collaboration and Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to work effectively within a team environment to achieve common goals.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Must be able to work assigned shift(s) with overtime as required to complete assignments if necessary. Sitting and/or standing for extended periods may occur as well as getting to and from offices and building sites. The ability to be able to lift and carry various items up to 50 pounds for manufacturing positions or 30 pounds for administrative positions is required.
