GEM Industrial Inc. Microsoft 365 Administrator in Walbridge, Ohio

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft 365 Administrator with expertise in SharePoint development and Teams administration to join our team. This role will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and optimization of our Microsoft 365 environment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, relevant certifications, and a commitment to delivering high-quality support and solutions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administer and maintain the Microsoft 365 environment, with a focus on SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Teams and Power Platform.
  • Develop, configure, and customize SharePoint sites, libraries, lists, workflows, and web parts to meet business requirements.
  • Monitor and manage Teams settings, policies, and security controls to ensure data privacy, compliance, and optimal performance.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for Microsoft 365 issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to users.
  • Collaborate with business units and IT teams to design and implement SharePoint, Teams, and other Microsoft 365 solutions that enhance collaboration, document management, and business processes.
  • Manage user access, permissions, and roles within SharePoint and Teams, ensuring compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, procedures, and training materials for Microsoft 365 administration and support.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Microsoft 365 features, updates, and best practices, recommending enhancements and improvements as needed.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers to resolve technical issues, escalate problems, and implement updates and enhancements.
  • Provide training and support to end users on Microsoft 365 functionality, features, and best practices.

SKILLS:

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 services and collaboration tools, including SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Power Platform.
  • Experience with SharePoint customization, development, workflows, content management, and search configurations.
  • Familiarity with Teams administration, governance, security, and compliance best practices.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and customization in Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and end users.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt to changing requirements in a dynamic environment.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality support and service to end users.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2-5 years of proven experience as a Microsoft 365 Administrator, with specific expertise in SharePoint, Teams, and Power Platform development and administration.

  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: SharePoint Developer Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform App Maker Associate
