We serve as a flex plant and are able to produce everything from a whole pasteurized egg to liquid, dried, hardboiled and curds.

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The Inventory Clerk plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of supply management, coordinating activities between operations and maintenance to maintain adequate stock levels and issue parts in a timely manner. This position also contributes to cycle counting programs and continuous improvement initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Coordinate with operations and maintenance to maintain adequate operating supplies in the stockroom and issue parts as needed. Offer recommendations on stock levels and Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) and identify potential problem areas. Assist in cycle counting programs and other continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of procurement activities. Interface with all departments to facilitate requisitioning, approval, purchase, and delivery of spare parts and consumable products. Utilize computerized maintenance systems (e.g., SAP) for history and parts inventory. Be available for overtime and holiday work when needed. Always ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures. Adhere to Quality work practices, follow GMPs, and maintain product quality standards. Ensure regulatory compliance. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Education and Experience Required:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent preferred.

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:

Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate effectively. Basic mathematical skills and ability to perform simple operations. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions. Proficiency in reading and interpreting various documents and data entry into inventory control systems. Computer literacy, with knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP considered a plus. High level of organizational ability and attention to detail. Certification on forklifts and pallet jacks required. Good written and verbal communication skills for interaction with vendors and internal customers. Strong customer service skills.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand for long periods of time.
