ASM Global, has an immediate opening for a Director of Marketing at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum and Allegacy Stadium at Wake Forest University.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Creative Campaigns and Promotions

  • Directs and implements promotional campaigns for event and company exposure

  • Develops strategies to boost ticket sales and generate additional event revenue

  • Establishes and maintains relationships with university and community influencers and partners

  • Manages and directs grassroots efforts

  • Plans and conducts market research to identify new opportunities for venues

  • Digital Marketing

  • Oversees social media strategy and content creation across all platforms

  • Builds content calendar and executes targeted promotions across all digital platforms

  • Creates, manages and continually updates website content

  • Develops and manages email marketing campaign calendar, content creation and pushes out all email communication

  • Advertising/Media Buying

  • Negotiate and place media buys on behalf of a variety of clients including concerts, family events, consumer shows, comedy shows and other events as required.

  • Manages all media assets for event campaigns

  • Develops advertising budgets for prospective shows

  • Prepares invoices for event settlements

  • Negotiates best rates, trade and promotional agreements with media outlets

    Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with ASM Global’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding; disciplining employees in conjunction with Human Resources; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Public Relations or related field preferred

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Event Marketing and/or media buying or related industry experience (i.e. advertising agency radio/tv sales) required.

    Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required

  • Social Media Skills (content creation, posting, analytics reporting, campaign development) required

  • Basic understanding of demographics and media buying ability

  • Requires flexible schedule to cover events including nights, weekends, holidays, early mornings and extended hours

  • Knowledge of database software, spreadsheet, graphics and word processing software.
