Adecco US, Inc. 2nd Shift Saw Operator in Waite Park, Minnesota

POSITION SUMMARY

Prepare and perform operations to product such as setting up and running general machining equipment including: saws, grinders, manual lathes, drills, mills, and polishing rounds. Inspect product to print requirements. Monitor products on a continuous basis to ensure products are of prescribed quality and meet both Customer and Company.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Follow established work procedures, and perform work assignments (as required) to meet all Starrett Tru-Stone safety, quality and production goals.

• Lift work-pieces manually or with hoists. Position and secure on tables using bolts, jigs, clamps, shims, or other holding devices.

• Observe drilling, saw or grinding machine operations to detect any problems.

• Operate single or multiple pieces of equipment so machining operations can be performed on work-pieces. Activate machine start-up switches to grind, saw, drill, or cut work-pieces, according to specifications. Move machine controls to lower tools to work-pieces and to engage automatic feeds.

• Adjust setting stops to set traverse lengths and feed arm strokes.

• Set and adjust machine controls according to product specifications. Select and set cutting speeds, feed rates, depths of cuts, and cutting tools according to machining instructions.

• Study machining instructions, job orders, and blueprints to determine dimensional and finish specifications.

• Verify/inspect conformance of machined work to specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers and fixed gauges.

• Apply rounds, chamfers and deburr products during cycle times.

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

• Maintain all tools and inspection equipment per established procedures and requirements.

Pay Details: $40,000.00 to $50,000.00 per year
