Tri-County Health Care PRN EMT in Wadena, Minnesota
Astera Health currently has a PRN (pro-re-nada) Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) opening in Wadena. The primary function of this role is to provide pre-hospital emergency medical care, under general supervision, and in accordance with the Emergency Medical Services Regulatory Board and Minnesota State Department of Health.
Schedule/Hours Available:
- PRN: as needed, 12-hour to 24-hour shifts, varying nights, days and weekend opportunities per needs in the schedule
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Performing appropriate level BLS patient care on the scene and during transport to the hospital in a safe and effective manner to provide for the physical and psychological needs of patient/family.
Responding to the incident scene, assessing the situation on approach, beginning patient contact and primary assessment survey including, vital signs, airway breathing, circulation, bleeding and life threatening injuries.
Performing secondary assessment of non-life threatening injury/event.
Assisting with Basic Cardiac Life Support or ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support).
Performing routine equipment/supply/vehicle checks
Providing limited security duties to Tri County Health Care as needed throughout the facility.
Education and experience required:
Current EMSRB certification
Current MN Drivers license
