Timekeeper

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Run daily, weekly, and monthly detailed payroll reports and distribute to applicable team members

  • Maintain a current list of timecard approvers

  • Create and Maintain Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents for all payroll functions

  • Edit payroll records per supervisors' requests while adhering to policy

  • File and maintain payroll records

  • Assist in payroll audits as needed

  • Work closely with Human Resources to determine the correct actions for certain payroll-related concerns

  • Handle all payroll issues concerning clock times, schedules, union, and other areas as needed

  • Work on temporary labor hours and other data if needed

  • Perform accounting duties as assigned

  • Design and complete miscellaneous accounting projects for Accounting Manager as needed

BASIC SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous timekeeping / payroll experience required

  • Ability to work on a proactive basis in a high-paced, deadline-oriented environment

  • Must be able to set goals and meet deadlines

  • Accurate and detail-oriented

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Strong interest in payroll policies and procedures

  • Knowledge of and interest in accounting practices and procedures

  • Excellent communication and people skills in general

  • Ability to communicate and work closely with Accounting Manager regarding critical/urgent issues

  • SAP and Kronos experience

  • Strong Excel experience and proficiency in all other Microsoft Office software required

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Professional phone skills and demeanor

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
