Description
Timekeeper
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Run daily, weekly, and monthly detailed payroll reports and distribute to applicable team members
Maintain a current list of timecard approvers
Create and Maintain Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents for all payroll functions
Edit payroll records per supervisors' requests while adhering to policy
File and maintain payroll records
Assist in payroll audits as needed
Work closely with Human Resources to determine the correct actions for certain payroll-related concerns
Handle all payroll issues concerning clock times, schedules, union, and other areas as needed
Work on temporary labor hours and other data if needed
Perform accounting duties as assigned
Design and complete miscellaneous accounting projects for Accounting Manager as needed
BASIC SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous timekeeping / payroll experience required
Ability to work on a proactive basis in a high-paced, deadline-oriented environment
Must be able to set goals and meet deadlines
Accurate and detail-oriented
Excellent problem-solving skills
Strong interest in payroll policies and procedures
Knowledge of and interest in accounting practices and procedures
Excellent communication and people skills in general
Ability to communicate and work closely with Accounting Manager regarding critical/urgent issues
SAP and Kronos experience
Strong Excel experience and proficiency in all other Microsoft Office software required
Strong leadership skills
Professional phone skills and demeanor
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
