Schedule Weekly Hours: 10 Edge, the innovation arm of Emplify Health, is seeking an Innovation Intern to support Edge Engagements and Edge Launch initiatives. This internship is an exciting opportunity for an undergraduate student passionate about healthcare innovation management and disruptive methodologies. The intern will assist in rethinking healthcare systems, breaking down barriers, and supporting new ventures through our startup incubator, Edge Launch. Details: 10 hours per week Flexible hours based on school schedule Location is Onalaska, WI Duration: 4 months What you'll do: Support Edge Engagements and Edge Launch: Assist in healthcare innovation projects aimed at challenging existing processes and systems within Emplify Health. Collaborate with teams to apply critical management knowledge in identifying and addressing inefficiencies in organizational processes, policies, and procedures. Participate in brainstorming sessions to foster evidence-based decision-making, applying data and research to reimagine solutions for complex healthcare challenges. Support the incubation of new healthcare ventures by conducting market research, competitive analysis, and feasibility studies to evaluate innovative solutions. Work with cross-functional teams to support the creation of business plans, support the development of financial models, and prepare pitch presentations, demonstrating teamwork and leadership skills in fostering inclusivity and collaboration toward shared goals. Apply cultural competency by considering diversity and cross-cultural perspectives in venture development, ensuring inclusive and effective management practices. Research & Data Analysis: Conduct research on healthcare trends, innovations, and technologies to inform strategy development for Edge initiatives. Assist in gathering and analyzing data to support sustainable business decision-making, ensuring solutions align with ethical, social responsibility, and environmental sustainability principles. Project Management Support: Assist in managing the timelines, communication, and documentation for innovation-related projects. Collaborate with project leads and stakeholders to ensure progress is tracked and milestones are achieved, applying effective teamwork and leadership to engage others in working toward common objectives. Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal and external stakeholders to support partnerships and collaborations on innovation projects. Contribute to presentations and communication efforts that showcase the impact of Edge initiatives across the organization. Qualifications: Current undergraduate student in Business Management, Healthcare Management, Innovation, or related fields. Skills & Competencies: Strong research and analytical skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced, dynamic environments. Familiarity with design thinking, innovation processes, or healthcare systems is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management tools.
