About the Role:

As a CBRE Audio Visual Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of audio-visual equipment.

This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

What You’ll Do:

  • Operate all audio-visual equipment during events with the aim to provide high-quality technical standards.

  • Ensure that the equipment is tested and in correct working order before use or an event. Investigate faults and recommend further actions to find solutions.

  • Coordinate integration with specialty equipment as needed. Responsible for cord management & safe setup.

  • Liaise with client management regarding the exact requirements for events. This will include assistance with PowerPoint presentations, audio, and videoconferences.

  • Manage AV inventory and preventative maintenance schedule.

  • Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.

  • Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail.

  • Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.

What You’ll Need:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.

  • Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
