ICONMA, LLC Technical Training Specialist in United States

Our Client, an Education company, is looking for Technical Training Specialist for their Remote location Responsibilities:

  • The technical training specialist will be responsible for the coordination, design, development and delivery of training materials and instructional courses in support of the Student Data Program.

  • This position will work on projects with large scope and/or high visibility.

  • Works with project management to determine the needs of stakeholders impacted by the change, helps determine deployment approach and methods (coaching, self-paced learning, instructor led learning, eLearning), and plans and delivers needed training materials (job aids, on-line help, deployment training user guides, self-study guides, supporting web pages) and communications leading up to training and deployment of new services.

  • Develop, test, implement and present training in multiple formats such as case scenarios, simulations, eLearning, etc. following prescribed strategies and methods.

  • Conduct needs analysis. Participate in the evaluation of training needs and recommend effective solutions to achieve successful adoption across a wide and varied environment. Solutions may include job aids, in-system guidance, on-demand online training, multimedia resources, instructor led trainings, visual guides, hybrid sessions, workshops, or lab hours, and should include an awareness of accessibility standards, actionable metrics, and ongoing operational needs.

  • Collaborate effectively with Subject Matter Experts, the program team and the Training Lead, to ensure deliverables are timely, and risks are identified and communicated appropriately.

  • Develops adoption metrics and other methods of measuring the success of training and communications.

  • Reviews and monitors the effectiveness of training programs and communication plans; leads and implements continuous improvement plans for training and communication.

  • Compiles training and performance support feedback, as needed.

  • Applying Instructional Design Methods and Theories; Developing Training Curricula, User Documentation and/or Communications Programs

  • Demonstrated ability to Plan training, documentation and communication deliverables for large projects, multiple projects and projects with high visibility.

  • Defines learning objectives and designs course curriculum and training deliverables to meet those objectives.

  • Forecasts required time and resources, provides status reports and follows established methodology.

  • Independently prioritizes the completion of tasks and resolution of issues to ensure compliance to project deliverables.

  • Develops and implements communications plans and associated communications following established standards and methodology.

    Requirements

  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools (i.e. Cognos) and developing training for it

  • Understanding of data warehouse concepts and developing training on it

  • Experience leading and instructing in-person and online classes.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with five or more years of experience in instructional design, especially in support of highimpact initiatives in large, complex environments preferred.

  • Experience working in higher education or academic medicine is a plus, as is consulting/agency experience.

  • Experience leading and instructing in-person and online classes

  • Experience developing training for the following areas:

  • Data Warehouse

  • Cognos

  • Nice to have: Tableau and/or PowerBI

  • Familiarity with the following tools:

  • Adobe Captivate

  • Workday LMS (a plus)

  • Email Campaign tool (Campaign Monitor or Emma) (a plus)

  • Zoom

  • PowerPoint

  • Video Capture & Editing Tools
