V2X is looking for an experienced Technical Subcontracts Manager to join our team. This position will support our maintenance contract with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), performing oversight of subcontractors performing preventive and corrective maintenance on airport checkpoint security screening equipment in their region. This role provides technical oversight, ensures technical integrity, and maintains technical alignment between subcontractors’ work and prime contract requirements. Serves as the POC for the technical content of the subcontract, and resolves technical issues and barriers encountered by the subcontractors.
Responsibilities
Major Job Activities:
Oversees 10+ subcontractors, providing technical oversight.
Ensures technical alignment between subcontractors’ work and contract requirements.
Analyze data in Maximo computerized maintenance system to evaluate supplier performance metrics.
Collaborates closely with Supply Chain to ensure Supplier Purchase Orders are in good standing.
Supports review of supplier invoices.
Initiates Purchase Requisitions for all material and service needs on the Program.
Prepares and briefs Subcontractor Performance for Customer data calls and program management reviews.
Assist with Supplier Forecasts and Estimates to Complete.
Set clear team goals, communicate responsibilities, and create a collaborative team environment with an open communication culture.
Work extensively with project team, including supply chain, engineering, quality, finance, contracts, and program management.
Working Environment:
It is estimated that 10% travel will be required for this role. Remaining work will be remote / home-based.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications / Skills:
Minimum of 10 years of experience.
Bachelor's degree in Business, JD, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field.
Computer literacy; competency in use of all programs within MS Office Suite and aptitude for learning specialized software programs.
Individuals shall possess excellent communications skills and have a strong orientation for customer focus and teamwork.
Exceptional organization skills.
The candidate must possess the ability to simultaneously manage multiple subcontracts and priorities.
Demonstrated experience managing Supply Chain activities for large Programs.
Active TSA suitability clearance or ability to obtain TSA suitability clearance through an in-depth background check (TSA eQIP).
Preferred Experience / Skills:
Experience in oversight of maintenance activities.
Associate Professional in Supply Management (APSM) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) from Institute for Supply Management (ISM).
Competent user of SAP.
