THE ROLE

Prowess Consulting is looking for a Technical Project Manager with software accessibility experience to join our growing team and support our client with their Accessibility initiative.  You will play a crucial role in helping to ensure that shipped software and devices are Accessible, document regulatory requirements, and create and maintain the team’s readiness dashboards using PowerBI.

  • Maintain documentation on accessibility standards, guidelines, and processes.

  • Generate regular reports on accessibility status and progress for stakeholders.

  • Project Manage and create a plan to resolve a backlog of accessibility issues.

  • Help to maintain a feature inventory.

  • Provide day-to day process management and compliance oversight.

  • Project manage the burndown of assessments, tasks, and bugs owned by engineering teams.

  • Manage communication to feature and partner teams across the organization.

  • Help foster a culture of accessibility awareness within the organization.

    QUALIFICATIONS

     

  • 4-7 years of Technical Project Management experience driving initiatives across companies.

  • Well versed in distilling complex requirements into easy-to-understand action for Engineering and PM communities.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Experience using Azure Dev Ops (ADO) and PowerBI.

  • Knowledge of accessibility standards for both software and devices, including WCAG, or an Accessibility certification such as IAAP, is not required but would be a plus.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, Human-Computer Interaction) or equivalent work experience desired.

    ADDITIONAL DETAILS

  • Must be able to work Pacific Time Zone hours. Remote OK, however, hybrid with ability to be in the office in Redmond, WA from time-to-time a plus.

  • The offered base pay range for this specific positing is $85,000 – 100,000 per year, DOE

    Base Pay ranges are different for different work locations within the U.S., which allows for competitive pay and consistency in different states.

  • U.S. based employees, working 30 hours per week or more have access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, basic life insurance, a 401K plan with matching, well-being benefits, education benefits, among others.

  • To be considered for this role you must reside in one of the following states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia, or Washington state.
