Team Lead, Quality Assurance
The Quality Assurance Lead will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the quality assurance activities within the team, ensuring the implementation of quality assurance best practices, and collaborating closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders. This role will involve a mix of hands-on testing, leadership, and strategic planning to ensure the delivery of high-quality products.
Responsibilities:
Design, author, and communicate formal test plans, test cases, and test workflows for assigned products.
Leads Quality Assurance team.
Coordinate testing efforts on projects with internal and contract teams.
Ensure test repositories are up to date by adding and updating tests, and ensure other testers follow the same procedures.
Execute test scripts for newly developed functionality and participate in the analysis of test results.
Implement and monitor compliance with new quality procedures.
Develop and implement quality control specifications, goals, and metrics.
Ensure policies, standards, and procedures are published and used within the QA team.
Gather project completion metrics to measure the success of the test efforts and provide supporting KPIs.
Interact with development teams to ensure tests provide accurate, complete, and appropriate coverage.
Work with the development manager and leads to triage defects in a timely fashion.
Provide timely and accurate status reports to appropriate stakeholders.
Act as a liaison with third-party software providers to ensure quality assurance processes are established and used.
Support the planning and management of test environments and SDLC tools (e.g., Devops, GIT, Requirement Management Tools).
Demonstrate technical leadership and a strong understanding of software testing methodology and the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Ensure business requirements and/or feature documents are clear, concise, traceable, and testable.
Prescribe testing and product validation processes in conjunction with development teams.
Provide ongoing performance and general feedback to direct reports.
Provide daily coaching and guidance.
Work with IT Leadership for:
Setting goals
Performance reviews
Bi-Weekly Performance Check-ins
Day to day administrative tasks relating to the team.
Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 6+ years of experience in hands on manual software testing.
Previous management experience highly desirable.
Solid project management skills, including ability to coordinate, negotiate, schedule and communicate with all levels of staff.
In depth knowledge of testing concepts, phases and types of testing.
Extensive experience developing and executing test scripts, test matrices and test cases at the required level of detail for each project/feature request.
Experience with user acceptance testing (UAT).
Experience in an enterprise SDLC utilizing both waterfall and agile processes Experience writing and testing business requirements.
An excellent communicator and an exceptional team player.
Demonstrated technical leadership.
Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Strong results orientation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
ISTQB/ASTQB Certification highly desirable.
Agile experience.
Successful leadership of a test team.
Experience with designing and coding automated tests.
Bachelor’s degree
