Responsibilities The employee provides services to TTB customers and business partners in a geographic area that includes the continental U.S. and Puerto Rico and is responsible for providing their own workspace within the continental U.S. The position may require travel approximately 25% of the time throughout this area. This position is located at Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Assistant Administrator - Field Operations - Trade Investigations Division. The following are the duties of this position at the GS-14. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position. Serve as an expert authority on broad alcohol and/or tobacco program issues falling within TTB's jurisdiction. Serve as the lead training coordinator for TID who manages, coordinates, and develops TID internal training programs such as the New Professional Training courses, Federal Alcohol Administration Act (FAA) Trade Practice training, On the Job (OJT) training program, and other mandatory training requirements. Manage projects involving studies of processes, problems, and initiatives that concern the Office and Division programs and associated activities in other Federal, State, local, and international regulatory and taxation agencies and organizations. Develop long-range plans, goals, and objectives for assigned program areas to ensure public safety and promote optimal alcohol and industry involvement and compliance. Perform complex, in-depth studies and direct and coordinate task forces or working groups on significant issues which impact functions and programs of national significance. For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: Conducting regulatory projects or enforcement efforts in alcohol beverage and tobacco regulatory program areas; AND Developing/conducting training or presentations; AND Leading teams or working groups created to resolve issues or carry out enforcement actions. For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: Participating in regulatory projects or enforcement efforts in alcohol beverage and tobacco regulatory program areas; AND Helping to develop or conduct training or presentations; AND Working on teams or groups created to resolve issues or carry out enforcement actions. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks. For the GS-13, you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks.
