Summary You will serve as a SUPPORT SERVICES CLERK in the BUSINESS OPERTAIONS MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT of OCHR OPERATIONS CENTER. Responsibilities You will read, classify, and mark material for indexing and cross-indexing in decimal and alphanumeric systems which may be extensively cross-referenced. You will periodically review filed material in the light of ongoing programs or special projects and determines if material should be consolidated, have new classification, or be retired. You will file materials within established time frames so that backlogs in filing are minimal and maintain file plans in accordance with agency regulations so that local requirements. You will determine applicable retention and disposal authorities and ensures material is properly prepared for disposition according to regulations. You will prepare outgoing material for dispatching and deliver and pick-up mail throughout the entire organization. You will ensure appropriate mail distribution and complete services for mail/shipping requirements for the Ops Center location. You will distribute supplies in accordance with local instructions. You will provide a variety of clerical and administrative support work in support of facilities and other programs/functions You will create, copy, edit, and prints a variety of standardized correspondence and documents using a range of office automation functions and related equipment. You will perform routine clerical tasks such as answering telephone, taking messages, and/or referring callers to appropriate staff members. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-05: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing clerical and administrative support (e.g., file maintenance, mail distribution, supply distribution, key and parking pass control, inventory management); and preparing correspondence and documents in accordance with policy/regulations for an organization. GS-04: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of general experience in federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector that demonstrates progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled. Example may include the following: file maintenance, mail distribution, supply distribution, printer supplies/maintenance calls, key and parking pass control, inventory management, prepare correspondence and documents, and maintain directories.
