Basic Qualifications: In order to meet basic qualifications for GS-2210 positions, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the competencies defined below: Attention to Detail: Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Oral Communication: Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. Problem Solving: Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. Specialized Experience: In addition to demonstrating the basic qualifications listed above, applicants must also demonstrate possession of specialized experience. You qualify for the GS-15 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-14 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as: Managing projects showing innovation utilizing emerging technologies such as Open Source, migration to Cloud, Software as a Service, Platform as a Service, Infrastructure as a Service; and Acting as a key decision maker in aligning mission requirements with strategic vision in developing future year budgets; Managing investments while actively practicing cost reduction throughout the project lifecycle; Assessing new system design methodologies to improve software quality; Supervising technical and contractor staff and exhibiting executive level organizational skills in overseeing a wide range of managerial responsibilities, including employee performance, recruitment, and mentorship Qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
