Summary This position is located at Office of the Inspector General for Tax Admin,Office of Audit. As a/an Supervisory Information Technology Specialist (DATAMGT), you will serve as a supervisory employee responsible for the administrative and technical products of the team. Assignments support audit teams in their oversight of complex tax administration programs, systems, or processes that have nationwide impact. Responsibilities As a Supervisory Information Technology Specialist (DATAMGT), you will: Control, assign, and ensure timely completion of requests for data analytic projects from across all OA business units. Adjust priorities and deadlines in order to address priority requests for projects. Advise the Director on the status of analytic program activities and resource utilization. Work with subordinate team members to identify solutions for issues, delays and obstacles while ensuring quality of program deliverables. Apply management principles and practices to plan and coordinate the work of others and to ensure assigned staff skills match the needs of the assignment, also apply knowledge of supervisory techniques to evaluate the quality of work, and to identify and resolve problems. Provide consulting services to assist customers in planning their data analytic activities for audits and projects. Qualifications You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: Designing and performing data analysis projects and/or studies that conform with professional standards or requirements. In addition to meeting specialized experience, applicants must also show proficiency in 1) attention to detail, 2) customer service, 3) oral communication, and 4) problem solving. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks. Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
