Responsibilities You will provide expert technical and administrative direction and supervision in the preparation, review, and processing of actions associated with military pay and personnel allowances and entitlement. You will review and analyze case files involving requests for the correction of military records, including cases with complex and controversial issues. You will verify that pay and personnel system events are correctly prepared and processed. You will provide advice on effective management, plan work and issue work assignments to subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work. You will hear and resolve complaints from employees, identify developmental and training needs of employees, and provide/arrange require training. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying fundamental human resources management laws, principles, systems, policies, methods, and practices; 2) Collecting, researching, and analyzing complex, controversial, precedential in both fact and policy, and recurring issues to provide expert advice and assistance regarding the processing of personnel pay transactions; 3) Operating, researching, and understanding information systems; 4) Applying knowledge of records management to ensure documents and records are properly stored and safeguarded; and 5) Demonstrating skill and ability to write and communicate orally to coordinate actions with subordinates, customer commands, provide support and training, and provide input for reports and metrics.
