PURPOSE

The Supervisor of Ticket Operations and Sales will work with and assist the Assistant AD for Ticket Sales, Service and Retention in providing ticketing services for all Islanders Athletics ticketed events. The position will serve as the primary contact for ticketing administrative and accounting functions and will also support ticket sales through all methods of outreach.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Functional Area 1: Ticket Operations

Percent Effort: 65%

  • Supervise box office operations including game days.

  • Supervise ticket reconciliations, deposits, credit card transactions and petty cash funds.

  • Work closely with the Associate AD for Business and Finance to ensure all University accounting procedures are properly implemented and followed in the Athletic Ticket Office.

  • Provide superior customer service to ticket patrons and other stakeholders.

  • Hire, supervise and train all box office employees.

  • Operate and maintain the online ticketing platform.

  • Serve as the main point of contact with ticket staff at the American Bank Center.

  • Maintain various databases including those related to season ticket patrons and group ticket accounts.

  • Provide accurate ticketing reports upon request.

    Functional Area 2: Ticket Sales

    Percent Effort: 30%

  • Achieve monthly and annual activity and sales goals through the implementation of a ticket sales plan developed with the Assistant AD – Ticket Sales, Service, and Retention and Deputy Director of Athletics and External Team.

  • Contact area businesses and individuals via phone, in-person appointments, and networking events to sell season, partial plans, individual and group tickets for Islander Athletics.

  • Call current and past customers and cold-call sales leads to generate sales.

  • Oversee marketing and sales outreach for Izzy’s Kids Club.

  • Communicate via email with Izzy’s Kids Club buyers, order items included in Izzy’s Kids club membership, work with Marketing team to develop Izzy’s kids club events.

    Functional Area 3: Other Duties

    Percent Effort: 5%

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Five (5) years of related experience, including two (2) years of related supervisory experience.

  • Additional education may be considered as a substitute for minimum experience requirement: Associate's degree and three (3) years of related experience, including two (2) years of related supervisory experience.

  • Intermediate skills using Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree.

  • Demonstrated student-worker supervisory experience.

  • Intermediate skills in various computer programs including Photoshop and InDesign.

    SALARY: $43,888/annually, approximately.

  • $3,657.34/monthly.
