Position Summary:

To maintain stock levels and purchase replacement tools, gauges and expendable supplies. To issue tools, hazardous materials, benchstock and supplies to employees. Responsible for ensuring all hazardous materials are stored and labeled in compliance with regulations. Responsible for ensuring all required tooling is calibrated.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Consumables: 34%
  • Conduct and maintain inventories of benchstock, chemicals and consumables needed for production areas.

  • Responsible for shelf life items and their disposal if out of date.

  • Ensure serviceability of all tools assigned to the department.

    1. Calibrations: 33%
  • Maintain a list of calibrated items.

  • Ensure that calibrated items are in good working order and turned in for calibration in the month that they are due.

    1. Tool Crib Operations: 33%
  • Maintain tool crib operations in accordance with GOP standards as well as company procedures.

  • Assist auditors with inspection of tool crib operations.

    Additional Responsibilities:

    Qualified Experience / Skills / Training:

    Education:

    Required:

  • HS diploma or equivalent.

    Preferred:

  • Some trade school desirable.

    Experience:

    Required:

  • Minimum of three (3) years directly related job experience in tool crib operations.

  • Requires knowledge of common hand tools.

  • Computer experience required in Microsoft applications.

    Preferred:

  • Knowledge of SAP

    Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages):

  • Requires ability to communicate effectively verbally and in written form.

    Technical Systems Proficiency:

  • SAP knowledge used on job, but can be learned after hire

    Travel Required:

  • 0% Domestic and International

    Citizenship:

  • Authorized to Work in the US

    Decision Making, Complexity:

  • Determines viability of bench stock/tool readiness and tracks need for tool calibration.

    Organizational information:

  • Reports to Manager, New Helicopter Completions

    Job Dimensions, Contributions to Success:

  • Responsible for calibrated tools and benchstock assets.

    Nature of Contacts:

  • Moderate Communication on a daily Basis with internal and external parties

    Physical Requirements:

  • Onsite: 100 %

  • Vision: able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings. Daily

  • Hearing: able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on production floor including safety warnings or alarms. Daily

  • Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications. Daily

  • Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts. Daily

  • Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. Daily

  • Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. Daily

  • Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools. Daily

  • Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on computer. Daily

  • Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving. Daily

  • Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on production floor. Daily

  • Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice. 0%

  • Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces. Daily

  • Personal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes, but is not limited to, Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Respirators/Masks, and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site
