Wells Enterprises Sr. Payroll Analyst - Hybrid in United States

Leads and is responsible for all clerical and statistical functions required to generate payroll checks and make tax payments. Responsible for testing, training, and implementing new processes and procedures.

  • Leads and is responsible for weekly execution of payroll process. Responsible for testing, training and implementing new processes and procedures. Documents and produces necessary reports and procedures for payroll.

  • Provides oversight of weekly payroll process. Responsible for all facets of the payroll process when necessary (to include assisting time clerks with time system functions and questions. Performs all functions necessary for managing the electronic payroll process; retrieves hours from time clocks, edits time records, transfers daily data to weekly files, etc. for all employees. Printing, sealing and mailing payroll checks and/or direct deposit advances..

  • Responsible for testing and implementation of new processes and procedures on our TEST system. Leading and training in the implementation of new processes and procedures.

  • Balances payroll figures quarterly and at year-end. Assist with reports and distribution of W2s and other annual reporting both quarterly and year-end. Ensures appropriate payroll tax filings and payments have occurred.

  • Completes monthly financial close process and prepares journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations related to payroll accounts. Responsible for appropriate element set up and application to ensure integrity in GL accounts transactions.

  • Serves as the SME & Administrator for payroll. Point of contact for all payroll related employee questions, provides superior customer service and real-time assistance.

  • Maintains and ensures the integrity and confidentiality of all employee files.

  • Works cross functionally to ensure we have received all needed inputs for the weekly payroll process and can effectively work with our business partners. Establishes consistent communication within the payroll team to recap prior week payroll outcomes.
