This manager position will be joining our Digital Internet Solutions development team that develops online banking solutions for banks and credit unions running on Jack Henry’s core platforms. The manager role will oversee a team of engineers while also staying involved with the technical implementation and support of the applications. We value individuals who are highly motivated and care deeply about your work, your team, and the end user of our applications. This position will be filled to work remotely within the U.S.

What you’ll be responsible for:  

  • Plans and leads the development of new software products and/or enhancements.

  • Oversees the analysis, design, development and maintenance of software solutions.

  • Oversees the definition and documentation of business and technical design requirements.

  • Ensures all software solutions and enhancements are fully tested, debugged and meet product quality standards.

  • Ensures all projects are delivered on time and within a high level of quality.

  • Performs continuous review of technologies, industry standards and industry-related developments and makes recommendations relative to the need for further

  • research and associated changes.

  • Provides consistent leadership to each individual; sets objectives; reviews performance, produces career development plans, and addresses concerns.

  • May serve as an expert on software architecture and programming principles.

  • May perform other job duties as assigned.  

    What you’ll need to have:

  • Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in software development.

  • 3 years of experience in a managing role.

  • Experience with C#, .NET, and SQL Server.

  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).

  • Ability to travel up to 5% to attend JH meetings, training, and/or professional conferences.

    What would be nice for you to have:   

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • Excellent knowledge of the software industry, software development lifecycle and programming standards.

  • Able to oversee the analysis, design, development and maintenance of software solutions. Guides development efforts toward solving industry needs.

  • Able to apply company policies and procedures to resolve issues.

  • Experience with Golang.

  • Able to meet aggressive deadlines and handle multiple and complex projects.

  • Able to coach and mentor employees, providing career and professional guidance.
