About the job
Own core areas of the company’s software offering over the software offering’s entire life cycle through design, implementation, and maintenance for Red Hat advanced Cluster Security for
Kubernetes.
Telecommuting role to be performed anywhere in the U.S.
What you will do
Collaborate with other engineers, product managers, and product designers to shape, build, and improve new and existing software features. Design, build, maintain, and test core backend services and APIs for Red Hat advanced Cluster Security for Kubernetes.
Work across Red Hat’s software offering, focusing on efficient data collection, event processing, storage, and persistence.
Design workflows to secure customers’ Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes deployments across the full software development life cycle as part of Red Hat advanced Cluster Security for Kubernetes.
Collaborate with other engineers to improve the company’s Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) testing and validating framework to ensure high product shipments.
Collaborate with other team members working on network performance evaluation and regression analysis.
Participate in customer support on-call rotation to monitor system metrics and triage technical issues.
Assist the Customer Support team in troubleshooting and resolving customer issues, improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
What you will bring
Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related role.
Must have two (2) years of experience with: programming with Golang, Java, Python or C/C++; Unix and Linux operating system fundamentals; Linux Containerization technology and building and deploying Docker containers; Container Orchestration and running containers using Kubernetes; private and public cloud infrastructures; distributed systems and securing systems; designing and implementing RESTful APIs; Agile development methodologies and modern source control tools; MySQL, PostgreSQL or similar database technologies; and analyzing and improving performance bottlenecks in software including memory, multithreading and latency optimizations.
