POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”), the Senior Vice President, Finance is highly strategic, visible and impactful role that will be responsible for leading the FP&A and Corporate Accounting teams within the broader Finance organization.

The Senior Vice President, Finance is a critically important role that will be responsible for leading and directing all complex FP&A initiatives including, budgeting, forecasting, analytics, business case assessments, and consolidated reporting functions for the Company. This is a highly strategic and analytical position that will be a value-added business partner to the executive leadership team, including our CEO, COO, CCO and CPO, and other functional leaders to help ensure the Company achieves its strategic and financial objectives. This individual will have a material impact for setting, analyzing and supporting the execution of the Company’s financial strategy and will have considerable interaction with and visibility to the entire senior leadership of the organization.

The Senior Vice President, Finance will also be responsible for leading and directing the Corporate Accounting team and associated initiatives including, oversight of accounting operations and process, financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP, management of the Company’s consolidated financial statement audit and global statutory audits, and partnering with the Corporate Controller and tax and treasury initiatives.

Specific responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Proactively partner with the Executive Leadership Team and Operational Leaders to identify and drive the organization to achieve strategic, operational, and financial objectives;

  • Partner with functional stakeholders and executives on all FP&A related activities and become a trusted leader and a source of financial advice to the strategic decision-making process;

  • Drive a highly strategic, efficient, effective, and comprehensive process for financial planning and analysis, to include budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting used to create financial statements that translate into actionable insights for the executive team;

  • Manage all aspects of the annual planning process and ensure that all parts of the business come together in a complementary and unified plan and are focused on optimizing the growth of the business;

  • Analyze monthly financial results, identifying drivers of favorable or unfavorable performance, conducting ad-hoc analyses, developing remediation plans and incorporating insights into monthly reforecasts;

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly deliverables including management reporting packages and Board presentations as well as lender presentations, the latter, when required;

  • Oversee financial modeling and financial due diligence required in a sale process to help ensure a successful exit;

  • Support our Chief Commercial Officer and his team with proposal and orders support, tracking, and analyses and provide sales planning analytics aligned toward the achievement of key goals;

  • Evaluate incentive plan design as required and oversee the plan achievement by individual once full year results are reported.

  • Provide strategic decision support analysis, including risk and reward modeling and M&A due diligence support;

  • Effectively build and manage relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure strategic initiatives;

  • Attract, mentor, and develop a top-flight FP&A and Corporate Accounting team;

  • Drive process improvement within accounting operations to create a more efficient global support model;

  • Assist with establishing the financial integration strategy of the Company and execute said strategy;

  • In partnership with the CFO, strategically assess risks and opportunities and develop action plans to address and/or capitalize

  • Be a likely successor to the CFO.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate will have a minimum of ten years of related experience in financial planning and analysis and accounting operations. Ideally, the candidate will have had a minimum of five years in a senior-level finance role with team oversight.

The selected candidate must be an enthusiastic and entrepreneurial minded self-starter who is willing to roll up their sleeves, engage, and approach the business with an owner’s mentality. The candidate will require a high energy and an enthusiastic, can-do attitude coupled with self-awareness, humility, and the ability to listen before acting. The candidate will take a high degree of personal responsibility and demonstrate a strong work ethic. He/she is a team player, builder of good relationships internally and with customers and has a high level of personal and professional integrity.

Additionally:

  • 10+ years of experience in corporate finance, FP&A, accounting operations, corporate strategy, or business operations;

  • Current or recent experience in Financial Analysis within a standalone company, division of larger parent company, or private equity-backed organization;

  • A proven track record of stewardship in growth environments while profitably increasing revenues, market share, and/or EBITDA, with a keen focus on return on invested capital (or similar metrics), has been a key mandate;

  • Exceptional analytical, creative problem-solving, and modeling skills; ability to synthesize and analyze data to create useful information and concise analyses;

  • Experience building or optimizing existing teams and processes;

  • Demonstrated record of leadership; proven ability to successfully manage and develop teams;

  • Proven ability to work well cross-functionally, and develop strong rapport with senior and executive management;

  • Ability to thrive in a growth business while demonstrating a high level of transparency, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration;

  • Experience in a project-based, utilization-driven professional services environment desired but not required. Knowledge of Deltek Costpoint also desirable.

LOCATION:

Preferably on site in Fulton, MD but will consider remote for the right individual. Our Fulton/Maple Lawn office is the office of several of our MD-based Executive Leadership Team members and is approximately a 30-minute drive to D.C. and a 25-minute drive from the Baltimore Washington Airport (BWI).

National Pay Range

$175,000-$245,000USD
