Avania are hiring – Senior Director, Business Development – Full Service CRO - Medical Device

In the key role of Senior Director, Business Development you will be selling a comprehensive and complex range of service solutions including Analytics, Clinical Operations/Trials, Medical writing, strategic consulting, regulatory, quality and reimbursement to tier II/III medical device sponsors

The role of Senior Director, Business Development will include the following

  • Be accountable for an individual annual target

    • Independently lead the sales process including planning and implementation of sales activities.

    • Assist with identification of bid defense team participants. Educate team participants in client culture, operational needs/methods and sales techniques needed to close the sale.

    • Independently identify accounts which have the potential to become global key accounts.

    • Develop and implement strategies to establish and maintain such clients as global key accounts.

    • Lead the preparation of Sponsor presentations (general capabilities and bid defense presentations).

    • Understand and identify potential growth areas for Avania through market research and knowledge of competitive landscape. Lead opportunity strategy storyboard.

  • At least 8 years of Contract Research Organization (CRO) sales/commercial/client relationship experience with a proven record of accomplishment, of selling complex multi service offerings combined with strategic thought and business acumen.

    • Ability to independently lead regional sales strategy and process

    • Ability to provide VP with regular metrics

    • Demonstrate record of business lead generation experience

    • An in-depth knowledge of "How a CRO works" gained from working within a full service CRO
