Here’s the Gist
Wolfspeed is hiring for the position of Manager - SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting in the Corporate Controller organization. This highly visible role will own the preparation of key quarterly SEC reporting deliverables and related control activities. In addition, this role will be a technical accounting resource for cross-functional stakeholders, build and maintain the Company's accounting policies, and address technical accounting issues arising from business transactions or the implementation of new accounting pronouncements. This is a detail-oriented and hands-on position that requires the individual to be able to multi-task with effective communication and a continuous improvement mindset.
The Day-to-Day:
Ownership over the end-to-end quarterly SEC reporting process
Prepare footnotes, MD&A, commentary, and other supporting documentation including the statement of cash flows, GAAP checklists and financial statement tie-outs.
Partner with Investor Relations on the preparation of quarterly earnings releases and related deliverables
Research, document and coordinate the accounting for significant and/or complex matters
Lead the ongoing governance of our Corporate Accounting Policies through cross-functional stakeholder engagement.
Complete ad-hoc financial analysis, reports, and projects aimed at improving operational efficiency and reporting accuracy.
This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements)
BS/BA degree in Finance or Accounting with 5 years of relevant work experience within a large regional or Big Four accounting firm and/or public company
CPA license, actively pursuing CPA license or SEC reporting experience.
Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and internal control procedures
Proven experience successfully researching and resolving technical accounting issues independently, and translating into clear, concise written communication.
Must demonstrate business acumen, drive for results, and organizational agility.
Strong collaborator with a customer focus and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations and at all levels of the organization.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while adapting quickly to maintain deadlines
Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, etc.)
