CNC Software Sales Manager - Benelux in United States

Position Overview:

The Sales Manager for the Benelux Region is responsible for driving sales within the areas of Belgium, The Netherlands and Luxembourg. The ideal candidate will have a passion for driving business growth and will work to pro-actively develop and cultivate sales leads, transitioning these opportunities into sales for the company. This position will also lead the overall work of the Sales Engineering team to answer customer inquiries, providing timely and appropriate Mastercam commercial solutions aimed at exceeding customer needs and enhancing the overall Mastercam relationship. The Sales Manager will lead, coach and mentor the Sales Engineers that provide overall Sales Engineering support for Mastercam products; pro-actively interfacing and collaborating with customers to solve their manufacturing needs. This position is also responsible for meeting and exceeding the overall sales revenue/forecasts on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis, providing timely sales forecasting and pipeline reporting in alignment with said sales goals and expectation.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company objectives. Actively build an understanding of the market potential for the region and work to implement the proper strategies to achieve established sales targets for said region. Provide feedback to the product development team to ensure Mastercam offerings meet market demands.

  • Lead the Sales Engineering function, work to provide in-depth proposals and solutions for customers; lead Mastercam sales demonstrations and presentations as required.

  • Manage the customer experience through activation of new orders, ensuring their needs (cost, timing, quality, key issues/needs of the customer) are met proactively.

  • Function as the liaison between Mastercam and existing customers, work to ensure prospective and current customers are proactively managed and receive the utmost care when commercial questions and issues are presented. Work with the Applications Engineering Manager and team to research and offer technical solutions to solve technical questions / issues presented.

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and collective targets. Provide training and development to enhance the team’s skills and knowledge.

  • Provide monthly and quarterly forecasting for the region, include detailed updates on prospecting activities (i.e., cold calls, lead generation, pipeline activity) as well as business currently in the pipeline (proposal stage, negotiation stage, presentation stage, etc.) for the region.

  • Provide advanced Sales Engineering support for current and prospective customers; providing pre-sales support, demonstrations and/or technical information for sales quotations as required.

  • Serve as the sales lead in the Netherlands, attend trade shows, machine tool dealer events, media events, and / or technical partner events which serve to enhance the Mastercam name and benefit the overall brand.

  • Maintain a solid understanding of the Netherlands CAD/CAM market as well as current competition and emerging threats / opportunities; with a keen focus of the impact of said items on the region.

  • Ensure that business systems are kept updated with accurate customer contact information.

  • Travel required up to 50% of the time. May perform other duties as directed.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering discipline required; or equivalent consultative, technical sales experience for customers within the Netherlands CAD/CAM industry.

  • 6-9 years of progressive responsibility within a technical sales position, preferably in the CAD/CAM market.

  • Proven expert experience qualifying, quoting and managing the technical sales cycle; experience with technical software (e.g. Multi-axis, Productivity+, Mill-turn, etc.) an advantage.

  • Demonstrable experience assessing, developing, and solutioning technical proposals and solutions designed to address the customer’s CAD/CAM challenges.

  • Possess a general knowledge of all types of CNC manufacturing processes.

  • Pro-active analytical person, critical thinker, and initiative-taking sales leader with the ability to coach, engage and lead others in the delivery of sales proposals, contracts, or technical solutions.

  • Demonstrable ability to work under self-direction, and prioritize, multi-task, and coordinate resources across multiple stakeholders in the delivery of objectives, tasks or agreed upon deliverables.

  • The ability to act, to lead, and to foster growth by leveraging company resources in a pro-active manner.

  • Proven time management skills.

  • Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships. Personable, professional, and positive approach towards developing and maintaining these relationships.

  • Above average communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to provide accurate and timely information in a succinct and easy to understand manner.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Salesforce experience a plus.

  • Proficiency in Dutch and English languages.

  • Willingness to travel as needed.
