What We Want
The Research Specialist III, under general direction, will run samples on a specialized mass spectrometer. The Research Specialist III will also perform instrument maintenance to ensure equipment is in top condition. What You Need to Know
Salary: Compensation will be commensurate based on the selected candidate’s education and experience.
Schedule: Work beyond normal business hours and/or work on weekends.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree
Eight years of relevant experience
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must have extensive experience in mass spectrometry, sample preparation, maintenance of mass spectrometry equipment, interpretation of mass spectra and good laboratory practice
Ability to lift moderately heavy objects
Ability to exert heavy force
Responsibilities:
Running Instruments: Running specialized, custom-built mass spectrometer.
Sample Preparation and Instrument Maintenance: Assist in sample preparation in addition to performing instrument maintenance to ensure equipment is in top condition.
Data Analysis and Record Keeping: Interpretation of mass spectra and record keeping.
