What We Want

The Research Specialist III, under general direction, will run samples on a specialized mass spectrometer. The Research Specialist III will also perform instrument maintenance to ensure equipment is in top condition. What You Need to Know

Salary: Compensation will be commensurate based on the selected candidate’s education and experience.

Schedule: Work beyond normal business hours and/or work on weekends.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Eight years of relevant experience

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must have extensive experience in mass spectrometry, sample preparation, maintenance of mass spectrometry equipment, interpretation of mass spectra and good laboratory practice

  • Ability to lift moderately heavy objects

  • Ability to exert heavy force

Responsibilities:

  • Running Instruments: Running specialized, custom-built mass spectrometer.

  • Sample Preparation and Instrument Maintenance: Assist in sample preparation in addition to performing instrument maintenance to ensure equipment is in top condition.

  • Data Analysis and Record Keeping: Interpretation of mass spectra and record keeping.
