Bob's Discount Furniture Receiving Lead (Material Handler) 2nd shift in United States
The primary function of the Receiving Lead is to oversee all of the Lift Operators in his/her group, and make sure that work is completed in a timely fashion. This role is responsible for assigning tasks to the team, reporting problems to management, and fostering a positive environment within the department. The Receiving Lead reports to the Supervisor and/or Manager.
Job Responsibilities
Operate radio frequency (RF) gun
Assign tasks to Lift Operators
Ensure the team is stocking correctly
Put away merchandise
Pick pieces
Relocate pieces from one location to another using the appropriate tools
Receive bulk pieces to locations in the racks
Partner with other departments in Receiving to complete work
Work on special projects; support other leads and supervisors on projects and new procedures
Report problems to management
Train new stockers
Enforce safety rules
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent experience in a Warehouse atmosphere
Basic computer skills
Ability to move small to large and heavy objects
Strong verbal and listening skills
Willingness to learn more
Able to be objective in situations
The ability to be a representative of management
A team player and willing to work long hours
Must be safety minded
