Compensation Range:

$29.05 - $40.67

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Responsibilities:

GENERAL PURPOSE:

Conducts data analyses to create detailed reports on compensation trends and program effectiveness. Assists with various compensation projects, leading portions of projects as assigned, including the annual merit process. Monitors regulatory changes, proposes strategies to mitigate institutional risk, and executes communication strategies for new or modified compensation programs. Provides guidance on standard compensation issues to HR partners and analysts, reviews and recommends changes to job structures and descriptions, and manages integrations with third-party systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conducts in-depth analyses using multiple data sources and make data-driven recommendations for program and special project development. Creates comprehensive reports and dashboards on compensation trends, program effectiveness, and key performance indicators.

  • Partners on specific compensation projects and more routine programs including annual merit process, leading portions of project as assigned. Actively monitors regulatory changes, analyzes correlated workforce and financial data, and proposes recommendations to mitigate institutional risk. Contributes to the development of action plans, project plans, and standard operating procedure changes in response.

  • Executes communication strategies for new or changed compensation programs. Responds to inquiries on compensation projects, programs, policies, and procedures. Provides guidance on standard compensation issues to HR business partners and compensation analysts as needed. Researches and proposes guidance on non-routine compensation issues to leadership for evaluation.

  • Reviews proposals for changes or additions to the job structure including job code attributes, job descriptions, compensation structure, etc. to ensure alignment with system/structure requirements. Works with compensation analysis to make recommended edits as needed. Assists in developing job descriptions and evaluating positions for proper classification

  • Serves as point of contact to manage integrations of third-party systems, including collaborating internally with HRIS team and externally with system support contacts (MarketPay, JDX, etc.) on system updates, enhancements, and troubleshooting.

  • Stays up to date on compensation trends and best practices in higher education and healthcare. Assists in the development of compensation policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • Two Year’s experience required

  • or equivalent combination of education and experience required

  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with HRIS and compensation software required

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities required

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills required
