Senior Project Manager
POWER Engineers, Inc. - Facilities Division is growing, and we are seeking Project Managers to support our Food and Beverage sector. Candidates for this position must have a sound knowledge of facility design, processing, packaging, and the associated regulatory requirements needed to support food and beverage manufacturing. The successful candidate will be responsible for both project and client management; at POWER, our PM’s are responsible for Finding, Winning and Managing their projects. The PM that has strong lead engineering skills and ensures the success of their project team will provide the best solution for the client; this is the approach that works well at POWER Engineers. Flexibility is available for a hybrid work environment (employee will need to live within driving distance of the office).
Roles and Responsibilities
This individual will be part of POWER’s Food and Beverage Project Management team charged with Finding, Winning and Managing projects in the food and beverage sector
Establish and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients by strategically evaluating and responding to client needs
Maintain a working knowledge of POWER’s capabilities and discipline resources
Evaluate business opportunities and provide go-no-go evaluations
Participate in the development of qualifications submittals, proposals, presentations, contract negotiations, marketing communications, trade shows, and related activities
Manage all sales activities through POWER’s CRM system
General working knowledge of the jurisdictions and or standards of Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), and 3A Sanitary Design Standards
Ability to scope a project for all disciplines of engineering and relay that scope to internal team members. Project management focuses on the scope development of an opportunity
Required Education/Experience
10+ years of related engineering sales and consulting experience or consulting project management experience in the food or beverage industry
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees and clients
Sales management skills with a proven record of developing new accounts and closing deals along with a strategic perspective
Project management skills with a proven record of scope development, and scope identification for various disciplines
Proficient in the use of basic computer software
Ability to travel as required, typically up to 30%
Desired Education/Experience
15+ years of related engineering sales and consulting experience or consulting project management experience in the food or beverage industry
PMP Certification
