PURPOSE

The Project Manager I, under general supervision, provides skilled and professional support to the AVP/Dean of Graduate Excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Management: 85%

  • Assists the AVP/Dean on special projects related to the Office of Graduate Excellence.

  • Manages project portfolios in line with business strategies and in accordance with project management standards. Periodically conducts meetings with stakeholders to schedule and coordinate project activities.

  • Prepares applicable reports to present project results to the leadership and stakeholders.

  • Assists with managing assigned budget.

  • Manages assistantships and the Scholar Achievement in Graduate Education (SAGE) programs including monitoring budget and candidate eligibility. Coordinates out-of-state tuition waivers, tuition payments, appointment letters, and other related items.

  • Conducts research on complex matters to provide analysis and insights for informed decision-making and solutions.

    Collaboration:10%

  • Supports the Office of Graduate Excellence in building and managing relationships with program partners and all units within the Division of Research and Innovation.

  • Works closely with the Office of Student Research and Innovation (OSRI) regarding research related programs.

    Other: 5%

  • Other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.

  • Three years of related experience.

  • Project management skills and experience.

  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

  • Verbal and written communication skills.

  • Attention to details and ability to multi-task.

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to build and facilitate team collaboration and service excellence oriented.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree.

  • Experience with higher education office supporting students.

  • Intermediate Skills in the following applications: Banner and Argos.

  • Independent action and judgement.

  • Ability to take initiatives.

    SALARY: $4,583.34 - $5,416.67 Monthly ($55,000.00 - $65,000.00 Annual, Approximately)
