New York University Program Coordinator, Hartford Institute for Geriatric Nursing (2024, Aditi Durga) in United States

Position Summary:

The Hartford Institute for Geriatric Nursing at New York University is seeking a Program Coordinator for a multi-site NIH-funded trial. The Program Coordinator will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful implementation of the trial by facilitating the connection of eligible patients and care partners to the telephonic care intervention. This includes coordinating efforts across various clinical programs of the trial, assisting the Administrative Core and Implementation Core with electronic health record data extraction, and offering support to participating healthcare systems.

Additionally, the Program Coordinator will provide essential logistical and operational support to guarantee smooth project execution. This involves assisting site Principal Investigators and the research team as necessary, ensuring that all administrative tasks are completed efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Administrative Support: Proactively respond to project requests, manage new and continuing processes, and track implementation progress. Obtain onboarding information to enroll telephonic nurses into training programs, scheduling training sessions, and arranging meetings with relevant partners. Review progress reports and ensure the timely completion of required training modules by all staff members involved. (30%)

Operational Support: Provide logistical and operational support to ensure effective project implementation. Manage day-to-day operations, assist in meeting study milestones, and work with the research team to develop and automate business processes. (25%)

Relationship Management: Develop strong professional relationships with partner agencies. Coordinate trainings and monthly calls, provide technical support to staff, and document cases. Successfully resolves at least 80% of customer service inquiries and issues in a timely and satisfactory manner, maintaining a positive rapport with clients and team members. (20%)

Implementation Coordination: Facilitate the referral of patients from the emergency department to the community paramedicine program. Manage IRB related activities and serve as a liaison between NYU Grossman School of Medicine, NYU Meyers and the University of Wisconsin. (15%)

Other: Arrange lodging and travel for NYU research team personnel, process reimbursements, and provide general administrative support for the Project Manager and research staff as needed. (10%)

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary for this position is $65,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.

Required Education:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience.

Required Experience: Two or more years of related experience (e.g. clinical research, project management, or operations support).

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

· Highly organized and detail oriented.

· Ability to respond to basic online platform related technical support issues in a timely fashion.

· Superior customer service and interpersonal skills.

· Excellent project management skills required with the ability to research, analyze and synthesize information.

· Works effectively both independently and as part of a team.

· Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software, Google Suite, Asana or other task management software.

· Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Experience working with Salesforce CRM (preferred).
