The Power-BI Report Writer/Analyst will be an integral part of VCA’s Pricing and Coding team. This position is responsible for the analysis support of pricing team as well as the implementation of Power-BI dashboards/reports by collaborating with business partners and data architects.

Primary responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Power-BI reports and dashboards.

  • Manage Power BI dashboard sharing and user permissions.

  • Assessing data from a variety of sources to gain insights into pricing strategies.

  • Collaborates with business partners as a hands-on technologist and provide data/report solutions to solve complex data problems.

  • Existing reports maintenance and test data to maintain the accuracy of financial data.

  • Maintain COUPA (cost) report to improve existing pricing strategies.

  • Interact with procurement counterpart partners to properly update supplier, SKUs, costs, etc. in the pricing catalog.

  • Report generation for various organizational stakeholders.

  • Develop calculations in DAX to perform on large datasets.

  • Develop and design data models for data visualization best practices.

  • Gathering sales force (field team) data and create analytical reports to promote better sales and margin optimization.

  • Develop dynamic pricing tools to effectively respond to changing market needs and trends.

  • Interact with hospitals and handles questions and requests related to pricing reports/analysis.

  • Support with data for development and maintenance of pricing strategies.

  • Develop a process to gather and store competitive pricing data to assist with pricing analysis.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, finance, economics, computer science or in a related field.

  • Up to date knowledge of latest Power BI features and functionality.

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in analytics, data engineering, BI or related field.

  • 2+ years of experience in implementing data solutions.

  • 3+ years of financial analysis experience in industry with Retail/ Pharmacy/Medical services.

  • Experience with Azure platform and SQL Server.

  • Proficient in writing SQL and DAX.

  • Advanced level proficiency in Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to translate client perceived value of services and products into a pricing model.
