New York University Part Time Spanish Language Lecturer in United States

NYU Madrid is seeking a part-time lecturer to teach one or more Spanish courses at any level, depending on the needs of the language program, to New York University students, studying at our abroad site in Madrid for a semester or a year. Courses range from the beginner level for students with no prior experience in Spanish, focusing on teaching grammar through an immersive and communicative approach, to advanced courses for native and non-native speakers. The syllabi and learning materials will be provided.

Required Education

● MA or PhD in Spanish Applied Linguistics, Teaching of Spanish as a Foreign Language, or a related field

Required Experience

  • Three years of college-level language teaching

  • Experience with U.S. students abroad

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Commitment to an inclusive learning environment, with a diverse student body

  • English proficiency

  • Collaborative team player

  • Legally eligible to work in Spain

    Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
