National Outside Service & Monitoring Sales Account Manager This is an opportunity to join a growing, dynamic and responsible company that fosters the development of our associates. We are seeking a National Fire Service Salesperson. Position can be based out of any main ORR market and role is not eligible for relocation assistance. We're seeking an ambitious, fast-thinking, diligent and well-spoken outside sales "hunter" to assist ORR Protection Systems in expanding our base of service customers, working closely with our Regional Service Sales Account Managers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • All team members must embody the company mission to provide protection for people, property, and the environment in all aspects of their job.

  • We’re seeking a true “National” multi-site test and inspect as well as monitoring opportunity hunter. Identify new prospects that match the profile of ORR Protection in the Data Center, Industrial, Telecommunications, Power Generation and Manufacturing industries, as well as other traditional commercial verticals.

  • Hunter mentality that generates leads by cold-calling prospects and creating interest in ORR's specialized service and monitoring offerings.

  • Communicate and interact with business decision makers at all levels to identify needs and requirements as well as market opportunities.

  • Perform proposal and contract review activities with appropriate Operations Team Members as required.

  • Negotiate and close sales that vary in contract length, complexity and fee range.

RFP Management:

  • Assist in drafting, formatting, and editing RFP responses to ensure clarity and professionalism.

  • Track deadlines and manage timelines for RFP submissions to ensure timely responses.

Market Research:

  • Conduct research on potential clients and industries to identify new “National” multi-site test and inspect as well as monitoring RFP opportunities.

  • Analyze competitor RFP responses to refine and improve our submissions.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain organized records and prepare regular reports of RFPs submitted, including outcomes and feedback for future reference and to determine areas for improvement.

  • Manage and update CRM Pipeline.

  • Maintain documentation and ORR repository for RFP Questionnaires

  • Financials, Quality/Safety Documentation, Process Documentation, Legal Stats, Insurance Requirements, Licenses, Subcontractor Master List Maintenance. (for posting, cut-off at Process Documentation).

  • Support and update RFP Proposal Templates & Presentations

  • Assist with maintaining records of cost /overhead burden rates for National Customers.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Assist in nurturing relationships with prospects throughout the RFP process.

  • Participate in Conferences and Tradeshows as needed.

  • Follow up with clients post-submission to gather feedback and understand decision-making timelines.

Administrative Support:

  • Manage administrative tasks related to RFP submissions, such as scheduling meetings, correspondence related to RFP inquiries and clarifications, and organizing materials.

  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent education, required; Bachelor’s degree, preferred.

  • 3+ years of sales experience REQUIRED.

  • 5+ years experience in fire protection sales REQUIRED; service sales experience preferred.

  • Ability to travel when necessary up to 35%.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Problem solving and critical thinking, required.

  • High level of proficiency in Excel

  • Fearless with initiating contact with potential customers through cold calling.

  • Winning, positive attitude.

  • Customer service oriented.

  • Strong interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to network at all levels of business.

  • Excellent time management.

  • Google or Microsoft experience; experience using a CRM to track leads and progress preferred.

  • Consistent drive to meet goals and targets.

  • Desire to continuously learn new skills and apply to each opportunity.

Work Environment/Physical Demands

  • All associates are required to pass a drug screen, background check and motor vehicle report.

  • Driving to customer sites and conducting visual site surveys.
