Numerator Mid-Market Client Development Director in United States

The Mid-Market Sales Director is responsible for driving growth within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) vertical. This involves an analysis of the buying centers in each organization, including the identification of key decision makers and influencers. Our most successful Mid-Market Sales Directors develop account strategies for the growth of the assigned territory by prioritizing and profiling each assigned organization.

This role is vital to the company’s overall growth strategy. The Mid-Market Sales Director will function as part of a sales team and work on opportunities from prospecting to close. Each Mid-Market Sales Director will have a quota where the expectations are to meet or exceed the goal. This will be done through effective account strategies for growth, as well as collaboration with teammates, managers, and colleagues.

Through the assessment of opportunity in a territory, the Mid-Market Sales Director should develop insight into and communicate our value proposition to all prospects. This person will leverage existing resources, develop new materials, and work with other key personnel to refine and implement changes in existing sales strategy.

What you'll do:

  • Own the retention and growth of a book of existing clients in the Mid Market, from understanding existing use cases to identifying and educating the customer on new, and expanded ways for our teams to partner together, you’ll be responsible for driving the complete sales cycle from opportunity identification to contract negotiation and close across all product lines by working with their solutions consultant, consultants, and research managers.

  • Build strong relationships with existing and prospective clients by creating trust and confidence at multiple levels within their organizations

  • Continuously drive pipeline growth and effectively manage the stages of such pipeline

  • Serve as a catalyst for change and continuous improvement - leverage existing resources, developing new material, and working with other key personnel to refine and implement changes in our existing sales strategy

  • Articulate and demonstrate the value of our solutions with quantifiable ROI

  • Innovative and results-oriented sales contributor with strong software/tech sales experience, preferably with SaaS exposure

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in an individual contributor role selling technology/SaaS

  • Proven record of strong sales results where the individual has met and/or exceeded annual goals and has been a valued contributor

  • Proven record of prospecting new clients or prospecting within existing clients at senior levels of organizations

  • Strong knowledge of sales process, including pipeline and priority organization, forecasting

  • Experience negotiating and renewing strategic/high revenue impact partnerships

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills - Ability to speak fluently to senior executives (Directors, VPs, C-Suite)

  • Proven experience as a sales ‘hunter’ and an ability to drive strategic sales cycles and close business within assigned territory

  • Proven success effectively uncovering needs/pain points that Numerator is uniquely positioned to solve for
