Marketing Project Manager

Alliance Defending Freedom is looking for a highly professional Marketing Project Manager to join us in our Scottsdale, AZ, Lansdowne, VA, Washington, D.C. or Atlanta, GA office. As the Marketing Project Manager, you are a vital part of the Marketing Communications team. In this role, you will report to the VP of Marketing and are responsible for managing all digital marketing projects. This entails assigning tasks, overseeing work, ensuring deadlines are met, and engaging in cross-team communication on projects. You will act as a liaison between Communications team stakeholders and the Web Services team, ensuring the effective execution of digital campaigns and website needs.

Your Essential Responsibilities:

In this position, you will:

  • Work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that the scope and direction of each project are clearly defined (pre-initiation) and align with the strategic objectives of the Communications team and the broader organization

  • Work closely with various teams to gather needs assessments & technical requirements, provide status updates for stakeholders, manage multiple creative projects simultaneously, and determine bandwidth for new projects

  • Be a primary stakeholder in project management tool use and configuration

  • Create project workflows and assist Team Members in the efficient use of project management tools

  • Maintain workflow process by performing intake duties for all new requests related to digital design

  • Build and generate reports on a per-project basis as part of the project closing process

  • Act as a liaison between stakeholders and vendors when necessary

  • Work with stakeholders & directors to determine project priorities when deadline conflicts arise

  • Develop support documentation, including risk logs and requirement specifications

  • Highlight potential risks or malfunctions and act proactively to resolve issues

  • Seek opportunities for improvement, suggest new projects, and make adjustments within digital tools and software as needed

  • Ensure resources are organized, allocated, and available to stakeholders

Skills you need to succeed:

Knowledge of:

  • Project management software such as Wrike, JIRA, and other prevalent platforms.

Demonstrated proficiency in:

  • Project management

  • Understanding of digital communications and marketing industry standards

  • Strong interpersonal, writing, and verbal communication skills

  • MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Ability to:

  • Be assertive with timelines and deadlines across the organization

  • Thrive within complex logistical work

  • Multi-task and strong attention to detail

  • Work independently and collaborate across teams

Education and/or experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or creative design-related field or equivalent experience

  • 2+ years of experience in project management

  • Digital and creative design experience preferred

  • Project Management Professional license preferred
