Customs and Border Protection MANAGEMENT AND PROGRAM ANALYST in United States
Summary Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol, Border Patrol Headquarters, Program Management Operations Directorate, location is negotiable after selection. You may select one of the following locations: Yuma, AZ Del Rio, TX Additional selections may be made to include other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above. Responsibilities In this Management and Program Analyst role, you will become a key team member of Homeland Security Individuals involved in supporting and serving as an advisor to management and other acquisition officials on various aspects of acquisition functions and activities requiring application of qualitative and quantitative methods for assessment of management processes, systems and mission support programs. This position starts at a salary of $103,409.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $158,860.00 (GS-14, Step 10). Typical duties of this assignment include: Planning, developing and coordinating, delivering briefings, presentations, and conferences for senior leadership. Performing analysis, review of CBP major, non-major acquisition programs, and their related documentation. Taking or recommending actions to achieve program objectives, and recommends future objectives and improvements. Providing technical assistance and direct support to PMO or acquisition staff in all matters relating to the application of acquisition planning, execution and oversight. Qualifications Experience: You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Collaborating with internal and external program offices and components. Formulating and implementing management policies and operating practices. Allocating work to project teams based on priorities, requirements of assignments, and capabilities of team members. Designing and administering plans and controls for submission of data. Experience: You qualify for the GS-14 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Approving multi-year work plans developed by subordinate organizational units. Implementing and monitoring management information systems for the analysis and tracking of program data. Providing expert analysis of Acquisition Decision Event documents and determining subsequent program goals and milestones. Preparing, reviewing, editing, coordinating, and releasing correspondence and documentation that accurately conveys the intent and results of studies and analyses.
