The Maintenance Utility is responsible for general building maintenance. This role will maintain a clean and safe work area, operate equipment in a safe manner, and report any and all unsafe conditions. This role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Job Responsibilities

• General building maintenance

• Maintain a clean and safe work area

• Lawn care/snow removal

• Light carpentry/painting

• Operate equipment in a safe manner

• Report any and all unsafe conditions

• Other duties as assigned

• Decision Making Responsibilities:

• Under direct supervision of the Property Manager/Maintenance Supervisor, work is performed within standard policies and procedures with little opportunity for un-reviewed decision-making

• Financial Responsibilities:

• This position does not have any direct financial responsibilities

• Supervisory Responsibilities

• This position does not have any direct supervisory responsibilities. May provide routing information and support to less experienced staff

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience in a Warehouse atmosphere

• General building maintenance skills

• Ability to efficiently utilize general hand tools, saws, drills, etc

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Able to multitask and manage competing priorities

• Able to work flexible hours determined by the needs of the department including weekends and evenings
