Job Description

The College of Business at Texas A&M University-San Antonio is seeking candidates for a fulltime Lecturer position in Marketing beginning in Spring 2025. The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree or higher in Marketing or a closely related discipline and will teach undergraduate courses in Digital Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Visual Media Marketing, Marketing Analytics, Marketing A.I. tools, Principles of Marketing, and/or other Marketing courses as needed by the department. The candidate is expected to facilitate and coordinate the newly launched “Strategic use of A.I.” certificate offered by the Department. The teaching load for Lecturers is 4 courses per semester (i.e., 4/4).

The College of Business is AACSB accredited.

This is a term limited position anticipated to start as soon as possible with an end date of up to one year from the date of hire.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Master’s degree or higher in Marketing or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.

  • Applicants must have 18 graduate hours in every field in which they will teach.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Interest and experience with A.I. tools and digital analytics related to the field.

  • Experience teaching a variety of classes within the Marketing discipline, with a proven track record of effective teaching in areas such as Digital Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Visual Media Marketing, Marketing Analytics, Marketing A.I. tools, and/or Principles of Marketing.

  • Experience with on-campus as well as distance education (hybrid and online).

  • Teaching assignments may include online day, evening, and weekend classes.

  • Professional experience in the marketing field is a plus.

  • Experience advising student organizations such as the American Marketing Association (AMA).
