THE ROLE : The Internal Controls Analyst will support the Americas Region and Shared Services in performing and maintaining a strong internal control environment to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and safeguarding of company assets.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Perform user access activities to ensure that appropriate Segregation of Duties are maintained.
Organize and perform user access reviews (UARs) for the Americas and Shared Services systems and other systems as necessary.
Executing Sarbanes Oxley internal controls as needed (i.e. Outside Service Provider assessments)
Performing Sarbanes Oxley testing of key controls for the Americas and Shared Services
Perform other audits as necessary (i.e. customer, banking, vendor special audits)
QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. CPA or CIA certification a plus.
4-6 years of relevant experience
Previous Auditing and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance experience
Previous experience in documenting SOX controls (Control Matrix, Narratives & IPE)
Must have strong knowledge of United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
Requires demonstrated skill in written and oral communications
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized, articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must have demonstrated the ability to engage business process owners in a direct yet professional manner, thoroughly evaluate business processes
Ability to think creatively, highly driven and self-motivated
Mix of public accounting and publicly traded company experience
Prior user access and segregation of duties review experience
Experience with Workiva and TeamGuru
