Summary About the Position: This position is with G-1, Civilian Human Resources Agency (CHRA), AMC Services Human Resources Directorate, Joint Munition Command Civilian Human Resources Service Center. This is a remote position. Responsibilities Coordinates job offers with all interested personnel to ensure all pre-employment requirements are met. Uses office automation and various software programs to produce a variety of correspondence and reports. Assists selectees with the pre-employment process to ensure all requirements are completed. Reviews personnel records to ensure file folders contain the correct documentation and are complete and accurate in accordance with regulations, policies, and procedures. Responds to inquiries on human resources programs such as employee benefits ensure employees, customers, and supervisors are aware of processes and procedures. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. GS 06 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1. Applying standardized human resources (HR) rules, procedures, and operations to accomplish support within the organization; 2. Providing support to Human Resources specialists in various areas of the organization; and 3. Utilizing office automation to prepare, extract, revise and sort Human Resources documents and information. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05) Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. GS 07 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1. The application of Human Resources regulations and guidance, 2. Processing personnel actions 3. Applying knowledge of civilian Human Resources rules, procedures, and technical methods; 4. Utilizing Human Resources database systems to query, retrieve, and analyze information; and 5. Responding to a variety of requests for information from customers.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06) Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Customer Service Human Resources Technology Usage Personnel Action Processing and Recordkeeping Staffing and Recruitment Writing GS 06 Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05). GS 07 Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06). Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees. The actual salary will be based on the geographic location of the individual(s) selected for this position. Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government interest. Management may select at any of the grade levels announced. If selected at a lower grade level, this position has noncompetitive promotion potential to the target grade of GS-07. Position is Remote.
