Primary Function

Human Resources is an integral strategic business partner that is critical in supporting a full suite of talent management technology and tools platform. To continue providing this support, A. O. Smith is looking to add a HRIS Lead- SuccessFactors– Talent Management to our team. This position will play a key role in our organizational initiative to develop and deploy SuccessFactors talent module platforms as we continue building upon our history of innovation. Beyond the processes we have in place today, you will search for opportunities to improve and lead implementation initiatives varying in complexity. You will have an eye for innovation and proactively pursue opportunities with a natural curiosity and attention to detail to help you thrive and grow at A. O. Smith.

Responsibilities

  • Lead critical projects from start to finish including requirements gathering, solutioning, deployment, testing, training, change management, documentation, communication, and measuring business value.

  • Advise on the management of SuccessFactors talent management product-suite with an awareness of opportunities to expand solutions and services.

  • Monitor and evaluate new functionality and features of the quarterly SuccessFactors releases and make recommendations on which features to implement.

  • Act as first point of contact to global users with regards to SF talent management support

  • Configure and maintain data in SuccessFactors talent acquisition, and talent development modules.

  • Coordinate with 3rd party vendors technical resources for trouble shooting or building new integrations between SF talent modules LMS, recruiting, onboarding, PM & GM

  • Lead SF talent module cyclical activities around performance & goals, succession planning, compensation

  • Develop a deep understanding of A. O. Smith business processes and strategy through collaboration and regular engagement with key stakeholders and process owners

  • Collaborate with international teams to support SuccessFactors talent modules

  • Lead Career Development Planning and points of integration with succession job profiles, competencies, learning modules

  • Experience with role-based permission setup for talent management roles

Role Specific Responsibilities

  • Develop reports & dashboards for recruiting, LMS, PM & GM

  • Map frequent data sync between separate talent modules to ensure accurate data transmission

  • Collaborate with cross functional architects and business analysts to ensure end-to-end process integration and consistency

  • Mentor other functional analysts and actively share knowledge with others to increase their competency in HRIS eco-system for in-house expertise

  • Manage functional design/process flows and solution design including defining process for importing and exporting data

  • Proactively identifies process improvements including clear and concise solution definitions.

  • Involves in the future strategic direction of the application roadmap to identify future impacts/changes for global implementations.

  • Identifies training needs of end users and provides the necessary system and end user training and documents.

  • Lead the engagement with support partners and offshore resources for day-to-day production support and active projects around the SF talent modules.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Work experience with a HR/Talent management package.

  • 5+ years of IT experience

  • 3+ years of SAP SuccessFactors talent management experience

  • Interest and passion for career development in the field of HRIS

  • Previous leadership experience, and team management is a plus

  • SuccessFactors talent module implementation experience

  • Experience conducting technical workshops and expertise in these modules within Success Factors (Recruiting, Succession, LMS, PM&GM)

  • Experience managing project teams and task delegation

  • Experience with testing, training, developing documentation

  • Certifications in Success Factors talent modules is a plus

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills

  • Ability to lead team discussions, solicit input and facilitate decisions in a professional manner

Minimum of 5 years related work experience
